Mission + Vision

 Our mission is to preserve and promote the culture of Salsa music and dance while offering help and hope to those in need.  We aim to use the universal language of Rhythm to transform the lives of individuals battling addiction and/or homelessness AND to enrich the life of anyone, at any stage of their path. 

We are a community-driven movement that offers support for happiness,  growth and healing. While providing uplifting rhythm-based activities, such as music and dance lessons/education, performances, and events, we offer support for those experiencing hardship. By offering skilled facilitation of public and private resources, we greatly increase an individual’s or family's likelihood of successful outcomes. We are committed to fostering improved self-worth by teaching Life Skills and Communications techniques to encourage resilience and sustain future self-reliance.  In addition, we strive to continually learn and utilize new resources and technologies to improve our ongoing efforts towards Compassion, Inclusivity, and Love. 

Our vision is a future where salsa music and dance thrive and serve as catalysts for personal and collective change.  We envision communities of all scopes where music and dance are routinely available, and also utilized, for treating addiction and homelessness. We can imagine a society where individuals can find the strength, support, and purpose they seek through communities bolstered by caring for one another.  We see a future enriched by the sense of Fulfillment from being a positive part of something greater than ourselves.

Unity Through Salsa! 

Unity Salsa was established as a department within an existing non-profit organization in August 2023. In January 2024, Unity Salsa received 501(c)(3) status as a Public Charity. Unity Salsa's EIN number is 99-0895179.
